WHEN PERFUME MEETS ART — CHAPTER 2: SEE THE INTANGIBLE

Both photography and perfumery have been subjects of debate since they were invented, with many viewing them as mere scientific and chemical developments. It was many centuries later that they began to be seen as a synergy of art and science, combining imagination and thought-provoking results. Crafted by two world-famous perfumers, Mark Buxton and David Chieze, the latest duo of Jillian, INTANGIBLE and FALL IN LUST, represents the highest forms of olfactory art. Documenting the journey of following their scent trail all over Europe, Maika opens us up to a whole new world, where the invisibles are visible. The intangible can be seen. The memories, people, and scenery once engraved in the perfumes are now intertwined with the hidden world through Maika’s lens.
